Recently, I have integrated Zetadocs Expense in NAV 2017. It had it's challenges, I would like to summarize my experience here, so that it may help in implementation by the readers.
First, an Zetadocs Expense Account has to be created with Zetadocs Expenses (Connector for NAV).
After creating the account, Zetadocs will provide a Installation folder, to install and configure a Connector, in the NAV/BC Server, as a Service which will liaison between NAV and Zetadocs Expense (Zetadocs Expenses) portal.
Users will input there receipts in this portal and then through an approval process, they will be eventually exported to NAV as a Purchase Invoice.
Connector Service in NAV Server has to be configured based on the SOAP service in NAV (created using a Codeunit from Zeatdocs Connector Installation Folder) and from information from the Zetadocs Service Account.
In NAV Server and Client some .dll files were added in add-in folders, some NAV objects were imported (2018 version was imported for 2017!, there were only 2013 and 2018 version! in the installation folder). Also, not in the documentation, those .dll files had to be added to global cache, otherwise objects imported to NAV would not compile and SOAP service would not work (although Zetadocs support team insisted NAV object compilation is not required!). Only after compilation of NAV objects from Connector Installation, the SOAP service start running without Error.
Zetadocs Connector Service won't start. The User in NAV with proper permissions for Zetadocs Expenses (permissions imported using RapidStart in NAV provided in the Expense Connector Installation Folder), and the User running the Connector Service in NAV, should be same, and they should be using Windows Authentication. So if the NAV Service running is not windows authentication, a new NAV Service need to be created with Windows Authentication to successfully start the Connector Service in NAV Server machine.
After Zetadocs Connector got Started, its only some configuration adjustments within NAV and Zetadocs Expense management Account, then it start working smoothly.
